Tree Climber/Climbing Arborist
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking to hire an experienced climber skilled in both tree pruning and removal. The position will be full-time (seasonal) with opportunities for winter work. Opportunity for advancement within a growing company.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year climbing experience
- Experience operating/maintaining chain saws and chippers
- Valid G License
- Capable of working safely and efficiently
- Reliable transportation to our shop (North Gower)
Wage is based on your qualifications and experience.
Tree Workers/Groundspersons
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking to hire skilled tree workers and/or general labourers. The position will be full time (seasonal) with opportunities for winter work. Opportunity for learning the trade and advancement within a growing company.
Job Duties:
- Assisting tree climbers with safety practices (experience preferred but willing to train)
- Operate chainsaws and chipping equipment (experience preferred but willing to train)
- Hoisting tools and equipment to tree trimmers and lowering branches with ropes and friction devices
- Clearing sites, streets and grounds of branches, wood and other material
Qualifications:
- Operation of chipping equipment – 1 year (preferred)
- Operation of chain saws – 2 years (preferred)
- Capable of working safely and efficiently as a member of a team
- Must have reliable transportation to our shop (North Gower)
Wage is based on your qualifications and experience.
